F/A-18 Crash at KRDU

Airport's been closed for about an hour, due to an F/A-18 crash near or on the airport. WRAL reported it here , and I got wind of it reading the ATC advisories......

Seems the pilot is ok....anybody know any more??

just get an account on DUAT and you can see them there.

Just go to the lower left-hand side of the screen!!

Lost the link, but apparently something went wrong on takeoff. Pilot bailed and was safe, airplane apparently burned on the runway. Aircraft was based at NAS Oceana, on a training mission in the RDU area.
