F-35 loses dogfight to Mig-21 and F-16

Yup.

I really know nothing about dogfighting or what criteria the author used to make his declaration.

Otherwise, it might be another "737-200 SLAMS 320 in awesomeness!" written by a simmer.

Hmmm methinks we need moar:

Hilton vs. Marriott

BBQ vs. Vegan

Blonds vs. Brunetts (male or female take your pick liberal nerd-fest)

Part 91 vs Part 121

Ford vs Chevy

Hat vs No Hat

Ass-less chaps on the walk around vs. No hat on the walk around

Bueno?

I'm enjoying listening to actual experts on this website - y'know, people who actually USE the platforms we're talking about - educate me from my position of ignorance.

I've been following this discussion topic on a number of websites and the level of batpoop insane comments on this topic are self-evident but frightening. Particularly here in DC where it's likely that a large number of the uninformed hold purse strings or the ears of those who do.

I still don't understand why they didn't do to the F-22 what they did with the F-15, create a "Strike Raptor." They would of saved money on R&D, as well as brought the unit cost downs as they would of bought 2000 examples instead of 180.
