Glad to see we are tapping into the "Coast to Coast" market... Should make for some interesting flights with some of those folks on board! So the night is winding down at work and George Norry goes to commercial. The Wall Street news blurb comes and says......A new airline is about to take to the skies....."ExpressJet will be serving markets they see as yet untapped....."

-New airline to offer leather seats and satellite radio
BobIn a way, (XJT) fulfills the original mission of the 50-seat regional jet, designed in the 1980s and 1990s to bring jet service to small towns. Instead, over the past few years airlines have used regional jets on mainline routes, drawn to lower labor costs at regional airlines or the benefits of replacing old, gas-guzzling aircraft.
"There are 1,900 50-seat airplanes in this country and every one of them ended up flying into and out of a hub," says Mr. Ream. "No one has ever tried point-to-point with the regional jet."
GREAT article about the new XJT Ops from Wall Street Journal Columnist Scott Mccartney:
New Airline to link small, mid-size cities.
Yeah... he said "new" airline too... oh well... still a great read about the "how's and why's" and how different it is from FlyI's plans.
One of the best comments is towards the end:
