ExpressJet - "possible Delta interview"???

From what i've been told a delta interview is not a sure shot at going to delta. It's probably the hardest interview there is and if you bust it you are out for good.

I really wish they'd fix that part of the hiring process.

I have signed up for the program here at UND. I honestly doubt that the part about Delta interview, i'm just glad there may be a road to the regionals. If I can get my foot in the door with Expressjet, and pending another 2007 doesn't roll around, I'll be happy. And if the program falls through, then oh well. UND is losing alot of flight instructors to the airlines. They are running new hire classes at the beginning of every semester it seems like so at least I should be able to snag an instructor spot and start building those hours.

I agree, but I was talking more about a flow type of setup.

They don't need it that's why. Why let your regional hire for you when you could just hire the ones you want after said candidate proves themselves? From a quality control standpoint a pref interview situation is far better. Having interviewed at a regional and two legacy airlines, I can say with absolute certainty that the quality of applicants, the competition for positions, the difficulty of the process, and the stress on the candidate are miles apart. Southernjets should not be obligated to hire any particular person. The process in place is in large part responsible for creating a pilot group that I think is as good as any to work with.

Now if we're talking about taking back RJ flying, stapling lists, and bringing everyone under one contract/one airline, sign me up. That's obviously an exception worth making.
