ExpressJet internship

I got called in for an interview and was wondering if anyone had the gouge on it. Also if there are any pilots on Jc who have gone through it. Could you tell me what it was like?

Haha, I got an email from a lady from Internship HR asking me for where I lived my college major and a few other questions. When I sent her the information along with my nice resume, she emailed me back a week later saying that I was not selected for an interview because my college would not accept the credits and also my place of residence. Virginia I guess is a little to far for X-Jet. Good luck I hope that you get it.

I haven;t gotten around to the pipe yet. A couple of guys at XJT said to go there as well. To bad you didn't get the interview.

I know SWA is planning for one this fall.

Airtran has the application process going right now at their website.

Yeah, I applied for that one as well. I hear they wait right before the internship to call you though. Did apply for SWA? At this point I'll take an internship at the Maury Show! lamo Damarious, you ARE the father.

don't blindly take any internship. Go where you see your self making a living. You never how things will turn out down the road.

Why on earth would anybody do an airline internship? Do they pay?

Do something that pays.
Because anyone who does the internship will be hired as soon as xjt starts hiring in a year or two. Whereas the extra 300 hours or so you'll get as a CFI (vs someone who spent 4 months as an intern) will just be a blip when the hiring starts again.

Given the opportunity, I'd definitely say that you should look at interning with a major instead of a regional. Getting your resume to the top of the stack at a major is much more valuable than a regional.

Take everything you read on that site with a big ol' grain of salt. :D

LIES! THE CRACKPIPE TELLS NOTHING BUT TRUTH!!!

I'm positive that I'm going to get recalled back to XJT because of the new Japan Airlines flying, only to be put on a 2 week suspension because I didn't update my Jepps!!! IT WILL HAPPEN!!!

:)
