ExpressJet Hiring

That changed with the last class. Apparently, DL caught wind that XJT was flying ERJ applicant dispatchers down to ATL on DL metal and they put a stop to it and made all applicants for the last class fly UA to IAH. Maybe it was that the last class was all ERJ so they couldn't tell DL "we have potential CRJ dispatcher in this class blah blah". It may switch back to ATL interviews again this coming class because of the CRJ/ERJ mix.

So are you saying that there's a good chance that the interview I will be going to is for the ERJ side since I'm going to IAH? Is current hiring for both sides or just ERJ?

Actually now that I think of it. I bet all interviews will be in IAH because I forgot prospective CRJ dispatchers can fly UA because the CRJ2's fly for UAX also. So both groups can fly UA without the company catching flack where as that's not the case with flying applicants other than CRJ folks on DL metal.

There are actually multiple internals interviewing in Atlanta this week, so I think it will be split in Atlanta and Houston. I know of at least 5 or 6 internal applicants interviewing this week in Atlanta.

Apparently if you are from the area or arrange your own transportation to and from the interview they'd be more than happy to do it in ATL. If you need travel arrangements then you have to do your interview in IAH.

I know the starting pay, but does anyone know what the pay scale is? For example, what is hourly pay after 1 year?

Just an FYI but the call backs began yesterday.. If you are 1 of the lucky choices you should hear something Monday or Tuesday.

I got the call yesterday. I can't believe I got hired at the first place I applied. I'm waiting or the training manager to send me an email with more details on training. They still haven't said what side I'll be on. Anybody else get an answer yet??

I can confirm they presented conditional job offers on the spot, and followed up with formal offers the day after... Good luck in Atlanta, I lived there once, and vow to never go back!

Ya know, that's my biggest hang up with this whole thing. I have no desire to live in Atlanta. I guess I. An do anything for a year or two until something else opens up. All I can think about is the traffic! :(

I never wanted to live in Memphis...but here I am. Sometimes we do things that we are not too crazy about, but it is the best decision we can make for our careers. Congratulations!

Been reading threads for sometime now but this is my first posting. Just curious as I have heard different stories, where is the XJT dispatch office??
Is it in the ATech hangar building or is it in the office building across the street??

The OCC is located in the ATECH/HANGER building... Years ago it was across the street, but after the upgrades and the consolidation of both airlines the operation moved to the A tech building.
