ExpressJet Hiring Dispatchers

Good question.. The point was that the ERJ side was better because you do have the opportunity to move up faster and gain seniority faster which means better lines. That is not to take away from the CRJ dispatch group as I like almost everyone one of them. 99% of the CRJ are great people and work extremely hard. The point was because many have been there for a long time you could end up sitting as relief or grab a horrible line and be stuck on that forever!

I appreciate the kind words. Generally we have enough movement so a given dispatcher will not be trapped in overnight hell forever......lol. As far as moving up goes, I already have the only job at the company I want !

Cause they cannot get hired anywhere else???? Not to mention they have local ties with being from ASA. And yes i agree. The fellow who is leaving was quite professional and very knowledgable.

Overnight is the best shift!
 
I believe there are a few internals interviewing. 1 for sure that I know of and is pretty much a lock to be offered a position. I believe that they are interviewing people that are local or as close to local as possible. Last hiring round the hiring team had to complete interviews in ATL and IAH because they could no longer positive space potential candidates on DELTA to ATL. Anyway, I believe they are trying to get a head start, so they can begin a class beginning of March..The 3rd I believe.

I'm in the same boat as you. Since the application window closed Friday, I assume the majority of the calls will go out this week.

News is that it could be a class of 15 to get hired... 5 on CRJ and possibly up to 10 with the ERJ side. Also, for that guy saying it sucks or people can't find better places, etc. the ones who did move on from ExpressJet are going to bigger and better things - they got their start and just like a regional, they're moving on.

I hope that I get a call. I don't have airline dispatch experience but I was a Paramedic and worked at a 911 center for 12 years and was a supervisor there, so I've got a lot of frenetic work experience. I hate to see when people bad mouth their ex-employers, it only makes them look bad. I live here in ATL and I've had my heart set on working at XJet since I enrolled in school. I am a night shift person as well. Mornings are not my friend! Anyway....hope to meet you all in person! :)
