Express Jet new paint scheme

CAL flying will always be in CAL colors... If we flew for AA then they'd be in AA colors... If we flew for DAL then they'd be in DAL colors... etc.

This is the paint scheme for both our Corporate Charter and our Branded flying. 44 Aircraft will be Branded flying... and 15 will be Corp. Charter.

We still have 200+ aircraft that we are flying for CAL "doing business as" Continental Express (COEX).

Although COEX has been synonymous with ExpressJet in the past... it hasn't been our name since before CAL sold it off. COEX is now a moniker given to ANY regional jet operator flying under a CAL contract.

When is XJT going to exercise their rolling options with Embrarer? :)

That's a good question...

If the branded flying and Corp. Charter thing is a success... then you may see an exercise of some of those options.

The thing is... and this was confirmed by our CEO on the quarterly earnings call... is that those options are solely for the 145XR and do not roll over to any other EMB aircraft.

So... no... you won't see XJT transferring it's options into the 170/190... but you may very well see a future order of XR's if the need arises. A whole new contract and ordering process would have to be in place for 170/190's to be ordered by us.

I would imagine that it's going to take a large, long term, potentially profitable contract before we venture into a whole new fleet type.

Well, I'm aware of your scope protection on the CO side. So my question was in reference to the XR's. Which I think are awesome looking little plane, btw!

Edit: With the 50 seat market dead, I'm surprised that Embrarer hasn't shuttered the 50 seat manuf. line!

Yet to be seen... just gotta find that niche market which, of course, is what we are attempting to do... and have done with the corp. charter thing that is taking off like gangbusters. ;)
