Executive Airshare-kansas City

Apologies in advance for the necropost, but has anyone got any updates on this subject? It seems they're advertising an 8 on/ 6 off schedule now for SICs and a starting salary of $56k, so it seems most of the above is OBE. Not surprising since the last post is 3 years old.

Anyone work here recently? I'm considering it as a back-up option/ tide-me-over job for a couple of months since it would mean no commute if I get an SAT position but I'm curious about:

1. Will they hire you direct entry captain? Suppose you have plenty of hours (5000TT, 3300 TPIC, etc) ATP, class 1 medical, etc., but no type or experience in their equipment?
2. How easy is it to get base of choice? As I said above, I live in SAT and I'm not moving for this job.
3. Anything else you wish you would have known, or you think is salient.

I've never worked there, but they hire street captains and they hire you into the base you want. If there are no openings at the base you want, they will tell you.

Thanks! I've since gotten some more info through various grapevines and they also have a 1 year training contract for each training you go through. That isn't a deal-breaker for me, but it does give me something to consider, since it probably isn't the company I would want to work for "forever." But may be a good fit for a shorter time frame (but longer than a few months). And I agree @Mountain Man, not a great way to sell yourself! I wouldn't exactly say it quite like that in an interview! ;)

I tell them I like to plan my life five years at a time. When I'm sitting in an interview, I assume the job is already mine and Im trying to decide if I'd be willing to spend the next five years working for the guy. Has worked so far, probably because it's the truth. Would obviously adjust that approach for American or United, but otherwise, ymmv.
 
“Tide me over job for a couple months” not a good way to sell yourself to an operator putting you through a type.
Anyone have a recent interview with Executive Airshares? If so, what did everyone wear to the interview? How many were interviewed in your group?

No, I started a year ago and it's 10/5. Sure , it could be, I guess. I personally don't mind it. So much so after 3 or so more days off I start picking up bonus flights. Depending on the AC you end up doing a lot of day trips(especially the phenom 100). Currently all PICs will be in the 8/6 come Jan and SICs are next in line to make that transition.
