Everything Explained for the Pro Pilot

It's not bad, tons of info. It's more a collection of notes, than a book, and there's a pretty good intro into 135 regs/ops. The guy who wrote it provides great customer service and loves suggestions. I think Flying mag had a good write up on it a while back. I bought it when I had some cash but now $60 is a good chunk of CFI paycheck.....

Tim,

I have this book and I think it really is worth the money. Things from the FARs, AIM, ACs, and ADs are explained clearly and simply. It doesn't feel as much like you are reading rules in lawyer language if you know what I mean.

I think that if a person were to know and understand what every single thing in the book meant, they would be completely prepared to fly for work on the technical, operational, and regulatory side of things.

The author, Richie Lengel, seems like a good guy, too. He even included his cell phone number on the letter that was in the book, though I haven't called it and don't know if it is a legitimate number that he uses every day.

Thanks, I might pick it up. I am almost done with all my ratings and am thinking it may take a while to get a CFI job in Denver so hopefully this book will help keep me fresh on stuff while I am on the hunt for a CFI gig.

It will be nice to have a single book with everything in it rather than ten books that you have to figure what is most important.

I have the book, bought one of the first copies. The author is great, I have emailed him several times and he's answered; $60 is pretty steep but again it's a good book.

I think I will drop the cash and just buy the book to add to my library. I took a peek at it the other day and it seems like a good one to have. I already have the Jepp Private and Instrument/commercial so that goes into the details. With the combination of those and all the Gleim books, PTS, and Oral guides, not to mention the Airplane flying handbook, and instrument flying handbook I think I will have everything covered.

Now all I need is a bookshelf!!!
