"Everything explained" Book

Retired in SAN

Time to return to the saddle..
I have had a hard copy of the book for years and swear by it. My wife just came home with an iPad mini for me and it would be nice to have the book on the pad since I seem to never put down my Kindle for reading.

Anyone have it on their iPad and do you find it worth the wopping $70.00 to have it in digital?

Thank you.

Awesome book for, helping a simpleton like me memorize stuff, but hot damn the layout is downright distracting sometimes.

I have both. Just bought the app to help me prepare for interviews. Saves a ton of weight and space in my luggage. Also, I'm more apt to actually study since I already have the ipad out for other things. The index is hyperlinked so you can tap a page number and it jumps there. Also, you can search by text throughout the entire book. Very useful feature.

I was all set to buy it on the iPad a few months ago for the same cost as the book. I decided to get the paper book after all. He advertised that there would be only one revision included, and that was because it was a couple of months away. Otherwise you would have to pay. Just wasn't worth it to me.

I like having the paper copy. Something about being able to flip through a reference book is nice for me. It is a bulky bastard, though. I will just update it in pen when rules change (ie rest rules, etc).

Edit - I like paper versions when I am studying for an initial qual, I prefer a searchable e copy for when I am already qual'd and just reviewing stuff. I will probably end up buying the E book eventually.

Nice.. Do you know if it includes any revisions? I took a look on the main page and it doesn't mention anything.

Thanks

Question answered.. Thank you.

Do revisions come free? :D
The developer said for now.
The portability of the ipad app is great, however it's design has a few flaws.

1. It won't go back to the page you were at if you exit the app and do other things.

2. The bookmarking doesn't have a page to view what you bookmarked.

I haven't used it in a few weeks so unless it's been updated those are my complaints.

Ended up buying it before i read your reply. Ya, still has issues. I had asked Richard a couple of times if he could make it in Kindle format. It doesn't need to have 15 different shades of highlighting, etc. Just working bookmarks and and that it returns to the last page read. The Kindle format has become more secure in it's development. I've had no problems with my book. Also, the nice thing about Kindle is you are given a short grace period to return the "book" if there are issues. It just immediately disappears off your devices if returned. Live and learn..

Yeah I didn't see your post until this morning. Wished I could have saved you the money. I'm glad I have the app, but it needs to be updated. I've messaged the guy on FB but never got a response.

I don't like how on the App Store, there is no buyers remorse option. Not all devs have a free option and some apps don't have thorough reviews.

...not to mention that you can read it basically wherever you want. Amazon doesn't care if you buy a Fire, an iPad, a Macintosh, or whatever - they care that you get the content from them and not somewhere else.

Would definetly get my money back if I could. $70 for a book that I can't even bookmark where I left off, is a load of crap. Free Ebooks have this option. For others on the fence about purchasing this, put your money away. This app needs a lot of work..

Contact your cc company and dispute it as a product that doesn't work.
