Every good landing starts with a good -6,000ft+ p/m approach..

We regularly used to fly 10-degree "random steep" approaches in the King Air in Afghanistan.

Don't mistakenly think that 121 "stabilized approach" criteria is the standard by which all types of landings should be judged. Hell, even a curvilinear turn-to-final in an ol' taildragger like a Stearman is significantly steeper and has basically zero straight-and-level before crossing the threshold.
