Ever wonder what 1800 RVR looks like?

1200RVR in actual ops really raises my need for starbucks. I remember the IFR training days when "actual" to "Mins" was something "cool". Now popping out at 100ft and 150mph is one of those "fine, LANDING" events. Of course the FO did 90% of the work. Gotta love that design.

For those of you who do CAT II (or III) approaches - is your SOP to do a monitored approach (captain takes controls from FO once runway is in sight)?

All CAT II and CAT III (A) approaches at QX are flown by the Capt with the HUD.
