[/ QUOTE ]I'm confused...I take it the 3 airlines he worked for were in the beginning of his career and the furloughs were all in the beginning of his career cuz otherwise he wouldn't be making such high end $$...and it makes it sound as if the $230K is the amount he was making after the 30% cut...

I still think they over exaggerated a little in that article. I know the industry is grim....
 
Being 45 at the time looking for a career change kit told me I have a good chance to fly for some type of airline after I spend the $ for all his books..Oh well..

I know Kit. He probably has the current record for being hired by the most airlines.

He was flying for Capital at one time, the one that came about after UAL bought the original. I know he was hired at USAir and I think at Republic or Northwest. Ended up at UAL, which was where he wanted to be.

I was around him when he was going to interviews and getting hired and furloughed. I don't hink he has embellished his record in that area.

It's only an X5 3.0 and it's a dream to drive. But I could only imagine what the 4.6is handles like with the sport package and the big engine, yow!

My Capt & I laughed so hard on that one this morning!
So does that figure also include his income from that 'side businesss' of his???

Shrunk by $150K? So even if the two took a combined 50% paycut they were still pulling down $300K to start with! What kind of bills do these two have that they BOTH can't live off his new lower salary?! They have to live off savings? YGTBSM! Does he have some unreal alimony payments or something?
