Eustachian Tube dysfunction

Hi Doc,

I just went to the clinic to get checked out after experiencing some vertigo. I've had some seasonal allergies (happens every year or two) and have recently been feeling much better. I went to blow my nose last night and my right ear wouldn't equalize and the room started spinning really fast. What an incredibly bizarre sensation.

At the behest of my nurse mother (we should all listen to mom), I went and saw the doctor. He gave me a steroid shot and said it was fluid/inflammation in the eustachian tube as a result of the allergies I had been coming off of.

Is this a problem for an ATC medical?

Thank you for your time.
