LOL so I'm coming back from the RDD airshow today and guess who's on my flight sitting in the lobby? Small world.
He kept looking at me so I just turned to my girlfriend and said really loud "You know some people think this airport can actually support a 737?". He didn't bite.

Sounds like a waste of money....Does the gov't somehow guarantee these people that they will have air service if they live in these towns?
I understand there could be times when air service is needed, but could a 135 flight be used in these cases?
Otherwise sorry, you chose to live in the middle of nowhere, it'll mean a long drive/bus ride to the nearest airport.

That's why Cape Air is picking up a lot of EAS service these days. Cheap with high frequency.

And Seaport Air is getting into the EAS business, starting towards the end of October, running their PC-12's. The only downside of Seaport, is they don't fly out of the main air carrier terminals, so you have to get from the FBO to the terminal, then go through TSA.

Good...let Cape Air do it...Bottom line is taxes are out of control and us paying for service that someone deems "essential" is ridiculous.
And for whoever that was above with a condescending tone towards the tea-party people. WTF? I give them all the credit in the world for taking time out of their lives to stand up to the gov't, enough is f'ing enough with the taxes already. Enough of the entitlements!
Well, the people at the ticket counter don't go through security. But I dunno if the passengers have built up their rage and stupidity at that point.

That my friend is pretty friggin awesome
