Epstein-Barr Virus

I have recently been experiencing more fatigue than normal, and my doctor gave me a thyroid test and E.B.V. test. I tested positive with a high E.B.V. rate. From what I understand, Epstein-Barr is a virus that has no real cure, and does not really go away, just has flare-ups every now and then. I was curious if this would affect my medical in anyway and if I need to report this to the FAA AME?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

1)Yes, you need to report it
2) The EBV tests tell us whether or not this is an acute infection or an old one. Most old ones were mononucleosis as a youth and are not significant.
