Envoy

who would do the LAX flying then ? OO ?

This can be hard to understand if you haven't been in the industry that long, but compass only opened that base in 2014, and airplanes are mobile.

When I was hired at Compass, DTW and MSP were still bases and SEA and PHX weren't.

Didn't take long to move the entire operation west, and it won't take long to move it back east.

It's rather hilarious to hear the words "I want to stay on the west coast" and "SkyWest CRJ" in the same sentence as well.

And then there's the "LOL OMG THIS IS THE BEST AIRLINE EVUR" argument against ALPA.

lol, everything old would be new again!
Yup.
Ackchyually that was from our vp of flight about a year ago when someone asked about the compass flying. He said that we plan to try and capture the flying once it becomes available, though not necessarily in 175s. But then again, when ZW left, the mothership asked our management's opinion on which base should be kept of those they were flying, and eventually PDT and PSA were given that while our NYC presence is being shrunk in favor of ORD and DFW. A year and a half ago it looked like the ORD was shrinking for us, but then they added 175s there.
Stuff's dynamic.

No.

I understand just fine.

It was just a simple question of who would take the flying.

Thanks for the unnecessary dissertation though... I guess...

The problem with an AA wholly owned taking it is all three are desperately in need of Captains to the point of forcing upgrades, adding bases is most likely not on the agenda but shoot if I know I'm just a forced upgrade number.

What I want to know is why don’t Envoy pilots wave to pilots from other AA (maybe all) regionals when we pass each other on the ramp?

Piedmont crews wave, PSA crews wave, TSA crews wave, XJT crews wave, Republic crews wave, Air Wisconsin that don’t fly for AA anymore still usually wave... Envoy, never.

What’s up with that?

I always give the 'Sup head gesture...
