Envoy hiring...no wait, nevermind... what!?!

Right I'm a pilot over there now. 1. The flow will die if thee is no company.
2. If you want to upgrade in 8 years (and going up) come on over.
3. There is a plan to give us 40 aircraft if we accept this vote. Which means we shrink further and upgrades continue to go up.
4. Go somewhere that want you. Envoy is a joke. Go to somewhere you can upgrade and get out of the regional industry.

Yes, Which side of the sword do you prefer..?
As Eddie Izzard puts its..."Cake or Death?" That is the question.

If I've understood the posts on envoy this vote means they'll be dispacthing at least into the short to mid-term future no ?

Well, suffice it to say they won't be dying as quickly as if they had turned down this contract. I would say short term is pretty safe, asset least for a couple of years. Growth, well that is another story.

A longer term question is the lease life left on those 145s. I've heard they end in 2017 and it's likely a bunch of them will not be renewed by mother AA, which owns them.

They are done... it was said awhile back by AAG management, that when Envoy shrinks to under 70 airplanes, it is no longer financially viable to continue and run flight ops. So... when the 700;s are gone, the 140's are parked, and the 145's are given out to XJT, PDT, TSA...it leaves them with 68 frames. They will remain a ground handling company only.

While I don't know anything concrete about how many frames Envoy has to operate to stay profitable, I do know that it would not be suprising to see them become a ground handler only, based on strong growth there. I also think Peidmont could end up going that way as they bring a strong ground handling component from the US side. That and those Dash 8-100's aren't getting any younger plus my above questions about how long those 145s hang around.

The 145's are going away. Envoy will be strictly a 175 operator and a small one at that. On the up side, they were on their death bed a few months ago, so I guess if you are an employee of Envoy this might be good news...

I think the 175s are going to start showing up in September. The 145's are going to Trans States, Expressjet and Piedmont, and the CRJs are going to PSA. 140's are going to the desert.

Word from Emperor Pedro is that Envoy SOC - dispatch - will be reduced to a staff of just 40. Time frame is by Dec 2016.
