Envoy DFW-TYR

We only get a "select" sample of the OpsSpecs, but they're blended into an Airway Manual (NOT Jepp "Airway Manual" or "Airmans Information Manual") and not a single, continuous/complete document.

Besides, the less "subpart b of section 2 of paragraph 4 states" I have to deal with, the better.

The only one that I find useful when presented verbatim (assuming, of course, that the FOM/FM-1/whatever contains the useful bits of the Operations Specifications) is the one dealing with which airports are authorized for regular, alternate, and refueling operations.

You're not a professional unless you can go "command line" ;)

I'd like to thank @Gonzo for the introduction to SABRE and bending it to your will that he gave me when I was on reserve. Was really slick.

Also, they hand out flight releases on tractor-feed paper here in MSP apparently. BZZZERRRRRK ZRRT ZRRT ZRRT BUUP ZZZZRT ZZRT "Paperwork is up!"

MSP has horrible paper as well does DTW. Like a nightmare.
Would you say the paper is...not Tier One?

The station people here call me "Captain." The first few times (while goin' between sim and home) my response was, "Me? Oh."

Very strange.
They'll be calling me "co-pilot" for a bit longer, hopefully. If I get any amount of time off before IOE, I'm going to be sporting 3 stripes, sitting in the right seat, stacking that (regional) chedda! Time and a half at captain rate to sit on the right, on top of min guarantee? Sign me up!

What hotel do y'all stay at there? I miss those layovers.

And steep turns are perfectly fine as long as you dont have foqua or whatever that stuff is called. I miss the saab!

No clue- that was over 5 years ago. Not sure I ever overnights there.

I don't know when FOQUA reports bank but only a select number of our 145s had it.

That's not a privilege I'll get unless they get really silly and make me an LCA.

It's certainly a nice benefit, compensation-wise, for our guys. It also really helps The Man out, too.

I highly doubt you don't have access to the ops specs. And if you haven't read them, then you don't actually know what is in them. I'm aware the GOM and SOP are written to keep you in compliance of them.

Well. I don't. I haven't. Seems to be working out just fine.

Our new EFBs have all kinds of nifty stuff these days. They just added all the recurrent training materials.
