Engine failure at Salmon, ID

My wife and I survived for more info Google N2190H and read the NTSB report. Still dealing with PTSD, but grace from God we are alive...
Lucky to be alive in that kind of terrain with an engine out. I'd be rather upset at the shop that did the work for you.

4 years later, are you flying again?

I was just flying and heard a conversation on guard with a plane with low oil pressure trying to get into salmon, ID. iirc, it was a huskey, callsign something 0H, 3 SOB. Heard later they crashed short of the airport with 2 survivors, but unconfirmed. Just wondering if there are any more details out there.

If the details are true, its the first fatal incident I've ever been privvy to while in the air. Fair winds and fluffy clouds, whoever you are.:(

It always sucks.

I remember 2008 taxiing out at DTW in a CRJ-200 headed to HSV airport that ground told us to pull over in the pad near 21R and hold because there was some sort of ground stop for HSV. We waited a little while and were released, we knew there was some kind of air show and assumed that's what it was.

Only when we were airborne did we learn that one kid died at the air show......
