Im sorry, just 6 more months.
Does endeavor really take a long time to process pria requests? Isn't that illegal? They are basically forcing an employer to keep you in limbo while endeavor hangs on as long as they can.

That should be illegal, you basically give up 50 or so numbers because you're being held back from classes.
PSA is doing the exact same thing.
When does the riot start?Announcement is that Detroit is closing.
I don't usually agree with you, but I agree with you here. However you and I have moved on to bigger and better things, all that's left working there are the yes voters as most no voters voted with their feet and left that dump.Actually you had a chance to let that place die slowly so you and others could move on to better things. In fact one year was stated. But 85% chose to continue Endeavor.
I can verify that Pinnacle (at least when I left) waits to the last possible second on PRIA requests. My copy was postmarked 30 days to the DAY on the request.
I guess some things never change. If you've been at Pinnacle, you get no recognition for sticking with it through the bad times. New people get the good stuff. It's like signing up with a new cel phone company. Been there for years, you get nothing. New guy gets a free phone and a couple hundred bucks.
I'm basically griping about the fact that in the merger, the Pinnacle guys got hosed on our DOHs vs the Colgan/Mesaba guys. I wound up having to pay Delta TWICE in one year for my non rev benefits based on the time they finally got around to changing it on paper. Even then, my bidding date was still three months before the date that the GOOD stuff like pay, vacation, etc was based on. Meanwhile, Colgan and Mesaba got one date that was the same. Yeah, I know it's because Pinnacle did the screw job on the dates first, but I don't buy into the "it would cost us MILLIONS to change it." Could have at least thrown the OG Pinnacle people a bone. I see they're still up to the same ole tricks.
As for your second part, absolutely correct 100%. It was ridiculous 9E pilots were told it was too expensive to shift their longevity pay date from sim date to class date (just 1.5-2 months in many cases) and yet when it came time to brand new hires on the 9E list that were furloughees from Mesaba (before the SLI) they came with full longevity credit from Mesaba for the appropriate pay, vacation, sick, etc. So brand new hires at the bottom of 9E's list from Mesaba achieved 2nd year pay for pay/sick/vacation whereas newhires at 9E from other places started at the original 9E first year rates. So we could afford to pay 100+ XJ pilots 2nd year pay for an entire full year plus vacation/sick adjustment yet couldn't adjust 9E pilot pay up to class date instead of sim date. The 9E pilots were in appease mode for XJ pilots, more than their own. Perhaps they knew the XJ MEC would be the survivng entity after merger and it was best to appease them and win TW's good side. In any case, it was 100% BS.
Now they really have to be on TWs good side...My luck was different. In my case, maybe it was because I was right at the beginning of the attrition cycle, right when the list and initial realignment came out that screwed all 9E pilots. But when I was hired with the conditional job offer, I personally called the 9E PRIA lady (don't remember her name). I basically sweet talked her and asked if there was any way she could respond to my stuff as soon as possible. She stated that per the rules all she could tell me is that they have up to 30 days to respond. I told her I know, but I'd appreciate any help and thanked her for her time. In the end it worked because I had checked the box to receive my PRIA reports when they get sent out to Virgin, and it turned out the letter was stamped the same day I had called her. In this case, I think she was nice enough to approve the PRIA requests right away. then again, this was Jan '12 and before the serious staffing/attrition issues.

Hehe, Wychor is pretty fair, he's always been a very reasonable and agreeable person. For some reason, Barry has a man crush on Wychor (which is fine, the more everyone at this company can get along the better), but I do miss the days of Nagel's fire breathing, that guy was awesome. Now they really have to be on TWs good side...
No the plan was four months and that was a year (is it almost two years now?)ago. The year thing was someone else. Delta was convinced they could shut this place down quicker and while they may have been proved wrong, you only have to look at Comair recently and back in the strike days to realize Delta will cancel flights before taking any crap from a regional.Actually you had a chance to let that place die slowly so you and others could move on to better things. Who's going to eat at Beirut with you now? What about the pad? What about Chapo? When does the riot start?
Well it's finally warming up so I'll be able to head back there. The pad is alive and well. He will be back in a couple of days. He brings normalcy to this godforsaken place.Who's going to eat at Beirut with you now? What about the pad? What about Chapo?
But if DTW shuts down the quasi cjc pad will die. You will be homeless. Time for you to start hanging with your own kind. Mainline compass pilots.Well it's finally warming up so I'll be able to head back there. The pad is alive and well. He will be back in a couple of days. He brings normalcy to this godforsaken place.
