Endeavor Rumor

I legit thought this post was about Eagle until I read a bit further into it.

What's with management picking sophisticated words that start with E for their new airline name?

I have a rumor, Delta added a fruit and cheese treat in first class just for me.

Unfortunately for us, Delta hates Endeavor. Guum-ball annouced we'd still have 165 planes in March, the day later they let it slip we'd have 163 in March. They can park us as fast as we can leave for another year. Hopefully ASA guys and the DCI pilots catch a break because of it.

Endeavor; French word meaning Comair.

If Endeavor's response to attrition is to give away flying, to whom will Endeavor give up flying? Are not other regionals experiencing 'The Shortage'?

Back of the envelope calculation when we hit critical mass. Assuming attrition, lead in time for training, moral, and planes you can park realistically with the aummer flight schedule... ever read Foundation? Im doing a Hari Seldon formula in the blind.

He didn't even come up with psychohistory! It was that damned robot!

9E mgt will use whatever rumors are necessary to try and keep attrition at bay. Until pilots quit en masse, their new industry paradigm is a success.

Is he hoping for that while also having his resume and application in at every airline out there, or is he truly choosing to remain an Endeavor F/O and not even try to go anywhere else based on that hope?

From talking to him, apps out only at the 3 legacies AA/DL/UA. I get the feeling he feels too good to go to a LCC/Major like JetBlue/Virgin/Spirit/Allegiant. No resumes there. I would think any RJ FO with no advancement in sight would be looking to bail out to the first bigger/better opportunity that presented itself, and not limiting themselves to only legacies.

So, based on your assessment here, it looks like your friend is trying to get out, and is also somewhat of an anomaly with being a bit picky as to where to go to.

Thus, whatever rumors are coming from the place, aren't really keeping attrition at bay, the way I read it.

Today was more hints of SSP expansion. Most I know would still leave at first chance for LCC/Major/Legacy to call.

Attrition isn't going to be stopped. There's too many opportunities out there and so many are not dead set on Delta. We just wanna make more than $35k sometime in the next 10 years. The only hope for any of these regionals to continue operating is to hire everyone that gets furloughed from the next victim of the broken regional model.

This is very interesting. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would find it sweetly ironic if Endeavor was forced to raise pay to attract applicants. However, I've heard a separate rumor that Endeavor may introduce a flow through to Delta to attract applicants.
