Emirates saves the A380

Thank Allah, it means I'll be giggling at this A380 for years to come.

Also, if I can "red eye" on a self driving bus from LA to SF, not be raped by the TSA, not subject myself to SFO ground stops due to fog AND do it cheaper than an airline ticket, while being comfortable and getting a full nights rest, why would I not
You can get a full nights rest on a bus? I don't know, I've had my fair share of LAX/SFO multi-hour disasters, but none have ever taken longer than it would have to drive when you take the time of day and traffic into account. I doubt many people who can afford to fly would rather be on a bus for 6+ hours than an airport/airplane for even 4 hours if things go pear shaped. If anything for comfort and time reasons. Young people with money ain't got time for that, they impatient and entitled. And a huge chunk of the NorCal/SoCal leisure travel.

On a side note, just fly OAK/SJC-LGB/SNA/BUR instead and there is very rarely a GDP issue.

Pop your head up and say hi sometime.
