Just checked the OIS, this is what they're saying:

OTHER, AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY/REDUCED AAR

BOS +15 0010 A/C EMERGENCY

Anyone have any firsthand info?

Yeah, the first place I went was to liveatc.net, and was surprised to see Boston Tower and Approach both closed.... I hope it's nothing serious

I was practicing landings at norwood today, a bonanza needed an emergency landing. Engine trouble or something..

Doubt thats the boston tower though

From another forum:

Beautiful touchdown on 4R, PF checks the brakes on rollout, applies reversers, rollout is going well, then all of the sudden, the brakes lockup (I'm assuming) to make the 33R intersection. Plane actually starts hopping down the runway. Pax are treated to the beautiful smell of burnt rubber and plane leaning to the starboard side. Capt comes over speaker before the gate and says we have a brake smoking and that we need to have the fire personnel check it out before parking. All is well, but one of the right mains is blown.

No source given.

"General Departure Delays: Due to A/C EMERGENCY, traffic is experiencing Gate Hold and Taxi delays between 16 minutes and 30 minutes in length and increasing."

Is Airport Monitor up to the minute? If so, it shows that traffic is departing and arriving

MD80 ACFT AFTER DEPARTING RUNWAY 23 REPORTED POSSIBLY RUNNING OVER SOMETHING AND DIVERTED TO BOSTON, LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT, ACFT DAMAGE MINOR TO RIGHT WING INBOARD FLAP AND RIGHT MAIN INBOARD TIRE, NO INJURIES TO THE 115 PERSONS ON BOARD, BOSTON, MA

Not that I'm complaining, but I only got three emails about "Doug, was that you in BOS".

People are starting to get the clue that I'm not the only MD-88 pilot in aviation. Whew!

True, but their sales are at an all time high for their videos/DVDs. Guess their motto is "When the money is there, we do not care!"
