Electronic logbook recommendations

How are you carrying the D90 around with you at work? I've got an SLR that I'd like to carry with me on trips every once in a while, but I'm pretty well paranoid about destroying the thing.

Yes, it means carrying a backpack, but I can fit my laptop in the back sleeve and still have room for snacks, a book and my Bose QC15 in the top pouch. You do have to be a little bit careful lugging it around, but there is plenty of padding.

It does, but the backlit screen makes it tough on the eyes after a while. It's like staring at a computer screen for too long. The Kindle doesn't have a backlit screen, so it's less tiring for on those long deadheads. Plus the battery life on the Kindle is considerably longer. The tablet battery will drain pretty fast reading a book with the Kindle app. The Kindle battery lasts about a month or so.

That makes sense. I still haven't adapted to reading just on screen so I carry a book with me most of the time. Last time I came back from Europe I tried using just the tablet and was able to get 1 movie and about 3 hours of reading out of it. Sure as hell beat watching Soul Surfer on the overheads.

I read fast, which means carting 2-4 books a trip. The Kindle fixes all that since I have about 20 or 30 currently on there. Mostly through the latest Dresden Files book already. Before that I was re-reading all the George R.R. Martin books.
