Electronic Log Book

Does anyone use electronic log book? Do the airlines prefer them at interview time? Lastly, which is the best to go with?

I got Logbook Pro in December, and I like it! It comes in handy when filling out applications. I brought an electronic printout of my logbook to my last two interviews, one was a 121 company the other was 135, none of them cared to look at it, they just wanted to see my original paper logbook.

I went electronic only after 250hrs. I had no problems with having an electronic logbook at my interview. I've heard some airlines prefer it over paper. Electronic logbooks make life much easier when it comes to updating your fligh ttime, and also for interviews when airlines ask for all kinds of flighttime breakdowns.

:yeahthat: Logbook Pro! Don't know what kinda time you have, but start now instead of later! Puttin' in 1500 hrs worth after the fact is NO BUENO! Haha

I got Logbook Pro for Christmas from the parents. I love it! It is easy to use and the charts/graphs are nice to use.

I've been using the software for years and love it. It simplifies applications and insurance forms.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. They also have a free demo available for download.

I don't have a choice after my paper logs were stolen. Now for interviews I just carry a copy of my last page of flights, breakdown per aircraft, and totals.

If they have a problem with that I show them the police report. If they have an issue beyond that I don't want to work there.

Recently got LogTen Pro as well....and LogTen Mobile (iPhone app). Having the mobile version is fabulous. When I'm finished w/ a trip, I simply sync my phone w/ the computer. BAM, no more entering info. required.

Now I'm also slowly trying to get all my old flight time entered. Like someone above mentioned, it's no fun trying to get this done when you've got thousands of hours to enter. Ugh!

All that being said, I highly recommend an electronic logbook of some sort. I'm very happy w/ LogTen Pro (Mac guy here).

I've got a question for all the logbook pro users. I'm currently using flightlog.in but I don't trust internet sites with my info, seeing how logshare just up and left. My question is, on the logbook pro site, it says you can only install it on one computer? I don't really understand how this works. Do you HAVE to register it online to activate it or something? I'd buy it but I'd want to have it on my PC and Laptop, and if you were to get a new computer what happens then? Sorry for the noob computer questions but I'm just curious how that all works exactly.

same question more or less. looking to get software for logbook for more capabilities than flighlogg.in

(even though I love flightlogg.in)

I'm using Safelog. It tracks everything and updates automatically. I think you get 5 years of updates on your purchase. Tracks endorsements given and received/ medicals/ etc etc. Also allows you to print in a standard or "Jepp" style sheets for when someone wants to take a look at your stuff. Its awesome! I recommend it to everyone of my students and pilot friends.

Logbook pro licenses per user so you can reinstall it on another computer, as long as it isn't still on the first computer.

That's good and bad at the same time. I would prefer to be able to install on my desktop as well as my laptop but I guess one will do
