Electronic E6-Bs

I decided to fly full-time to be able to work on the boats more. They've been neglected for too long. Sadly, I'll probably have to sell them to afford working in aviation for the next few years.
that's kind of awesome that you're going for it though, truly it is! If I could fly again tomorrow I'd literally walk away from my current gig even though I really like it.

Learning to sail was really cool, but I couldn't help feeling "oh my good lord, this is so freaking slow" the whole time... "7 kts? We're excited about 7 kts? Who the • cares?" But everyone else seemed excited...

Well, it adds up when you are doing it for 24 hours/day. It was 3 days on the open water at about that speed to make it to the Bahamas. We were also sailing into 35kts of wind and pretty gnarly waves. And only 2 of us on the boat -- I was a nice guy and took all of the midnight watches.

Also, there are lots of times you are doing 0 kts. So, making way is always good.
