EKG Question

I am 42 years old and been on blood pressure medicine for about 10 years. I get a 2nd Class Medical and every year have to go to my regular physician and get a letter stating that the hypertension is under control. This year the doctor I get my flight physical from said the letter had to say that an EKG was within limits also.
Do I have to get an EKG?

No, you do not. This is from the Guide for Aviation Medical Examiners: "Followup evaluations must include a current status report describing at least the medications used and their dosages, the adequacy of blood pressure control, the presence or absence of side effects, the presence or absence of end-organ complications and the results of any appropriate tests or studies."
