EFB flight bag

I'm cheap but its about time for a new flight bag. Using to carry the usual. ipad, headsets (clarity aloft), pens, imodium (for emergencies), sunglasses, maybe a few protein bars, gum... whatever else I need to stuff in there. Don't want a Brightline bag. I just cant be that hip.

Anybody used the Garmin Executive?

I know in an earlier post I said I was going to go back to my Brightline but I went ahead and bought this My Go Flight bag instead.

It's more than the Garmin above but it has plenty of room for a full sized headset as well as a ton of pockets of which some I haven't found a use for yet. It has two padded pouches, one for my iPad and one for my NetBook. Probably would hold a small laptop too. It also comes with straps which enable you to wear it like a backpack (hair gel not included) or a single strap over the shoulder type bag. I also bought the Luggage Works clips for 9 bucks so I could take the "J" hook off and just clip it on to my bag. I've been using it for about 4 months so far with no issues. If you have any questions just let me know.

Luggage Works had a great flight bag that could hold a large laptop, headset and a few other items but it seems to have been discontinued in favor of a few smaller versions. If mine ever dies, I'll probably just jump over to their ballistic chart case.

I got that new Luggage works bag that incorporates the cooler in the middle.

I DO NOT recommend. It sweats into the other compartments and the cooler is too skinny.

Frustrating. We still have to lug around our paper charts as some pilots have not even picked up their EFBs, and some who have don't even know how to turn them on so FAA won't authorize us to go paperless.

This is what I use for everything. I put an Ebags cooler inside of it and I'm still able to fit my headset, 2 ipads, and all other junk. Not nearly as heavy as Jepps, but it still provides the perfect counterweight for your rollerboard. Fits in an overhead bin or under a seat while commuting as well.

I agree. I bought the summit and not impressed. I was hoping it was going to be as good as the other cooler which I love.

I've been looking at bodybuilding backpacks. Six pack bags expedition 500 or isobags. Cooler built in with sleeves for laptop and iPad and extra storage for everything else. Anybody try those?

But it would match my professional looking Nike warm up jacket.:sarcasm:

I got this little one for my Bonanza, and liked it so much I got another for work:

It's just big enough for a EFB (and an extra iPad if you don't like mixing your stuff), a small binder, plus a little flashlight, a headset and sunglasses. The side pocket has a spot for your red logbook (or similar) and plenty of pen slots.

No cooler, though. No hooks either, but it's easy to twist the shoulder strap over your rollerbag handle and it rides on top.

I've seen the LW bag. It's nice, but much bulkier. It does have a spot for a hook.

My Company-approved and issued Surface is, for the moment, going to ride in my Company-issue sleeve, inside my messenger bag along with my laptop and non-approved, non-issued tablet.

Gonna start wearing a hat, too? :)

Notice I said the ballistic chart case, not top grain leather.

Anybody use the luggage works stealth flight cube? Can't find interior pictures online. I bought an ASA EFB bag online as a temporary fix but it is a piece of junk. I don't like the Brightline bags.

How about non-aviation laptop bags or top-load briefcases? Any recommendations?
