I am working towards my CFI, but I came in for my 35th birthday FAA Medical, and did the ECG, I had an abnormal ECGs before because; I ran track and runner my whole, in the past had a cardiologist do a workup to a echocardiogram ultrasound and showing my heart is healthy, and I have athletes heart syndrome and it is all uploaded by me AME. My AME said lets find out, should be fine with the AME ECG due at 35. Little did I know, the FAA says sure it maybe fine, we do need a Nuclear Test. They understand the cardiologist would have never known to do it, which is why I need it. I got the letter, I have 60 days, I guess I can extend it as well. I don't know where to start, I guess I will have to pay out of pocket, insurance wont cover it. Does anyone have any recommendations for doctors, I have no health issues, always maintained a FAA 1st class, all over the dumb ECG :(. This would be a major blessing. Truly lost, don't know where to start.

Thank you all in advance.

Yea it sucks. I have white coat syndrome. I wear Apple Watch everyday with a normal awake resting heart rate in the 70s. Walking heart high 90s low 100s. When I went for my ECG at 35 my heart rate was 125. Anything over 110 is automatically deferred to FAA. AME left me hooked to machine and went and did the next medical and when he came back it had finally dropped below 110. He said he has a handful of guys he has to do that for because they always have high rates when doing ECG. He told me to get put on beta blockers before I turn 40 and that should stop that heart rate jump from nervousness .

I had the same issue but the doctor looked at it, asked if I ran a lot, and then issued my medical.
