I just got back from the doctor to check my hearing and ear drum. My hearing is perfect, but when did the pressure test that analyzes the ear drum, my right ear was fine but my left ear apparently had a hole in it. The doctor looked at it with the microscope and said he couldn't find anything. They hooked me back up to the machine and got a partial reading, but said the pressure was off. He took out a hand pnuematic device and said my ear drum was responding perfectly to that. My question is will my failure on the machine cause me to fail an ATC medical? He said clinically my ear drum is fine and the hand test confirmed it, but for some reason, the machine wasn't reading properly.
