Eaglevoy new TA

Ray is unbelievable! I don't want to take a screen shot of it, but for those with an account on EL - post #26 of the envoy/comair deal thread. Ray's nuts! He was a hell no to anything and everything that he has ever been able to vote. He and his gang screwed up the last few votes with all his "no one can staff it, it was going to happen anyway, AAG is bluffing," etc.

Now he's done a COMPLETE 180 and is saying the company wasn't bluffing (duh!) and he would rather be the regional with some guaranteed fleet than no fleet at all - after voting down and selling no votes on a deal that had better guarantees than this one!

He and his gang royally hosed you guys. You guys should call him out on it and demand a recall...like he did with other MEC members.

So if AA has 40 firm orders and 90 options left of 175s, how can they promise all to eagle, when the PDT ta promises 20 175s plus 20 of the options?*

*Contingent on the PDT mechanics and FA passing it

You guys should get down on your hands and knees and beg Tom Maxwell to be MEC chairman. It's time for some sanity and experience to prevail over there. What a frickin' mess.

Tom is a standup guy and I would LOVE for him to be our MEC chairman.

In regards to Ray, I agree with everything that has been said. Most of his arguments these days are word for word the arguments I was crucified for earlier this year.

However, I don't believe anything will pass unless Ray supports it. He has a big mouth and if he flips now we are right back to where we were a year ago. Except this time there won't be anymore chances.

Think strategy. Let's get this thing passed, then we can begin to think about cleaning house and holding people responsible for earlier actions. If we start to do that now we will collapse.

Yup, sounds like a GREAT leader
Over on the other side of the fence, I was shocked when I heard those statements being made. Some of the aviators I've worked with, who've had lengthy tenures here, told me they weren't surprised as this is nothing new.

No he did like 3 or 4 EVP terms among other things in his long ALPA volunteer career....

Wasn't familiar with his history prior to our MEC tossing our support behind him back at the 2012 BOD.

MY BAD BALLER

He will deny it. His latest retort was something to the effect of they did not have 12/4 carriers that could take the flying then, now they do

And I saw where he said "this was the last meeting the company would have. This was it. This was the final deal. We called all their bluffs earlier but we have good intel from other MECs that say the planes will go elsewhere." Really?! Where was that intel earlier Ray that said the CRJs would be gone, 30 EMJs were gone, Mesa would get routes with the 900 (I don't know if they got additional 900s or just restructured the old US Air routes they were running), Skywest would do flying out of ORD, Compass would get 175s along with Republic, etc. The list goes on. He is messed up in the head. From negating everything he said in the last 1.5 years, changing his "history" so it matches his current stance, to having an alter ego screen name on another forum pretending to be someone else (Mason) and actually quoting and having conversations with both screen names - thus talking with himself.

Is the Envoy MEC really telling people that the Compass deal is short term? 6 years with additional 4 total years of extensions doesn't sound too short term to me. Keep hearing that one...

It's definitely frustrating. I'm not sure if he truly is Mason or not, since there is no real proof I decided to let that slide. Everything else though is extremely disheartening.

Rays latest response

A year ago the company did not have the options they do today. Voting No in March was still the correct thing.

If they weren't taking the planes elsewhere and dumping any further talks with us, then I'd be a no on this deal too. They aren't, they will walk, they will place the planes elsewhere.... and that is the only reason this deal is better than the alternative. IMHO.

This deal also protects more people on the property from caps than the March TS.
