Eaglevoy new TA

I think it speaks volumes for how stupid and shortsighted pilots can be. Those pilots have lost out on millions of dollars over seniority numbers.

Not only that, but those pilots you refer to are of course the ones with the least amount of years left, on average, in that particular squabble. The ones you'd expect to simply take as much money as they could as soon as they could, as most of their career longevity had already elapsed.

Lets certainly not get into a NIC discussion here. ALPA will never be at AA, at least for the foreseeable future, so lets move on.

I'm told the entire MEC was told by the company to support the deal publicly or no TA would be reached.

I could have told you that. In fact I've been saying it for almost a year. Unfortunately our TAs need our MECs stamp of approval for credibility with the sheep.

The MEC largely abstained with the last TA so it never had credibility. This time they passed it and support it. I have always said that a vote would depend on the MEC's support. It sucks but not enough people here at Envoy are able to think for themselves.

What grinds my gears is watching Ray and others who were hardliner NO voters now make THE SAME EXACT ARGUMENTS for passing this TA that I have been making for the past year. Sometimes it's word for word. Yet I was absolutely creamed earlier this year and now here we are.

I can't wait for this to be over.

You're kidding, right?

"I'm not going to tell you how to vote, but let me tell you why I would vote no." Said the MEC chairman, Bill Sprague.

Various reps from multiple domiciles were handing out "Vote NO!" buttons and stickers at union events meant for discussing and educating pilots about the TA.

They abstained when it came time to vote NO or YES to send it to a vote, remember? That's what I'm talking about.

Obviously they were all very vocally NO and made sure everybody knew it. Especially jerks like Val, Ray, and Sam. Yeah, you and I both know what kind of people we are dealing with.

Right. Duh. I just always talk to guys that say the last group really remained neutral, unlike TT did. Ha.

I do find it interesting how we went from one end of the spectrum to the other end with the last two MEC's. I think it says something about both groups. For me personally, I never had issues with either group. I believed, and sill do, that both MEC's had the best intentions for the pilot group, and were doing what they thought was correct. Obviously, especially now, we can find faults in their strategies and mistakes in their actions. We can also find mistakes in the actions of our pilot group as a whole, because ultimately it is us who has the final say.

The entertaining thing is how ray has played the "well, I'm your rep and I just do as you guys say" now that he's realized his agenda was way off base.

I can't wait for this to be over.

They're counting on this, and it must have been part of the company game plan. 50%+1 have been beaten down so much that they're going to say "enough." If they've convinced more than 50%+1, they've given away too much in the offer. That's business 101.

Yes, this deal stinks, and yes, you're tired of the worsening schedules, awful morale, and splintered pilot group. it's easier to get a job while you have a job. I'll say it again.this deal stinks. But good things are coming to the industry. Take the $$$ (note I didn't say bonus, it's not a bonus) and do an interview prep, get your logbook together, buy a suit, be ready to go when your number comes up. please, Vote yes for that reason, but not because you're tired.

I haven't been paying too close attention to the Envoy deal but.....is it safe to say if this TA passes the regional "holding the line" effort has failed?
