How do airlines 'suck' right now?

This is a joke, right?

No Ananoman, it wasn't a joke. Sure the majors are facing difficult times financially, but the original question was a decision between ASA and Eagle. Not to mention the cyclical nature of this feast or famine industry. Things will be good again someday.
The marketplace has changed, and although it is going to be a difficult transformation, people will still travel and there will be a need for pilots. We may never see over 200,000/ year, but that doesn't mean the airlines suck. Just new rules. You wouldn't see that kind of money in corporate or cargo anyway.(except for FedEx/UPS)
CIMEPILOT, I don't think you will find anymore job security in cargo or corporate. Cargo operators work with tiny margins just like the airlines and when a corporation downsizes, the flight department is usually the first to go. My uncle in-law is a chief pilot of a corporate operation and he just had to let several guys go.
I didn't get into this industry for security, big bucks, fame or glory. I knew what I was getting into when I ventured on this path, and I have the ultimate decision whether or not to continue. If it starts to 'suck', I'll leave.
With that, choose ASA /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
