EAGLE has 74 Captain upgrades this month!!!

That's great news!

I heard the upgrade may be coming down to 3-4 years? That's not bad at all...

Do you think this hiring trend will continue into 2008? I'll be graduating from school in a year from now and Eagle would be my first pick. Especially if the upgrade time is coming down as they say it will.

How realisitic is it to think that upgrade would come down to 3-4 years? Is there anything that might prove some hope for this other than wishful thinking?

come on John, it's just a numbers games.

74 upgrades this month.

518 upgrades the rest of the year. (7 months * 74)

888 upgrades during 2008

888 upgrades during 2009

888 upgrades during 2010

3256 upgrades during the next three years. There should be no problem upgrading in three to 4 years.......

Oh, shoot! You said realistic....... HeII, who knows then. :laff:

I know an AE Captain and he keeps bothering me to hurry and get my flight time so I can grab an interview... ahh the days of CFI's.

Can you prove that anything is certain in this business, other than wishful thinking? Spare us the "all regionals are teh suck" routine, please. It's getting old.

There's a response in the true spirit of JetCareers networking, camaraderie and professionalism. Makes we want to hop on a plane and go meet you in Vegas sometime :sarcasm:.

Seriously dude, you did jump the shark and made an assumption. But if you don't want to go to NJC, no need to make up excuses.

Your loss not ours, or anyone who attends! :)

That's your problem bro, not mine. You've got no idea why I asked the question so hows about you ask something constructive instead of, in effect, telling me to STFU. Maybe if you did that then you'd get more of a response than a simple, "Bite me."

Bite me, that wasn't where I was going at all.

You know this is just an extension of the Freight Doggs vs. Regional pilots fight. :crazy:It's like USN and Marines, we fight each other until Army or Air Force shows up . . . then it's back to back. :rawk:

I'm happy for those at Eagle at the right place at the right time!

I'm happy for the people at Eagle too, and it sounds like good news for the people who would like to work there. It's too bad the original poster was made unfomfortable for sharing the information by one of this site's senior members by being asked to prove whether it was true or just "wishful thinking".

Sounds like one of the other senior members on this site thinks no one would be at a loss if I were not there to be networked with at NetworkJC. They even told me that with a happy face. :(

You wouldn't think my question about Eagle has anything to do with my interview there on Monday, would you?

Well why didn't you say so! (in the voice of the dude at the gate to Emerald City in Wizard of Oz) instead of saying "Bite Me"?

Van_Hoolio, to be honest I think you are off-base in your assumptions. Nobody here would ever wish a member to NOT attend an NJC function (except for maybe Chris Ford. Ha just kidding Chris :D). You are just as welcome to come and network as anyone else. In fact, I encourage you to bid off to come to Chicago in June or Vegas in October! You've met me in passing, so you will have a familiar face there.

As for the "wishful thinking" posts, I think there might be a misunderstanding here. I don't think it was a typical JTrain "freight rocks!" post ;), but instead was an actual question as to if the upgrade time would continue at this pace.
