E195-E2 takes flight

When do their Section 6 negotiations begin?

I have no clue. I don't have the answer to the solution on this, but I could see two possible solutions.

An LOA with a pay scale.

An LOA amending scope clause.

Negotiations are currently underway for the JCBA for the merger with Virgin. Pay, scope, and retirement are the areas being negotiated. Arbitration is a possibility, but regardless of method, we should have an outcome in the next 6 months.

I hope the union sees this thread.

We're basically on track to go into mediation in the next 30 days because AS management is not taking negotiations seriously. After that inevitably doesn't resolve things we have a timeline and arbitration panel already decided. The TPA (Transition Process Agreement) had the dates and stuff outlined. So we would be done with arbitration and get a decision by November (I believe). Like @pete2800 said, we (VX) are getting the AS contract and the only three sections being negotiated are pay, retirement, and scope. Not easy ones at that!

Good luck. Pattern bargaining is a beautiful thing.

Even read a couple articles from industry analysts that AA management is contemplating a mid-contract adjustment. I'm not naive even to think that will happen, but it sure is nice to think about.
