How am I supposed to answer the second question? I'm already typed in the airplane. But have not done the upgrade training. The part in parentheses does not apply to me. Forgive me for asking. Been a long day and my brain is mush. This is for my upcoming training as a return to work guy. I'm doing the full on course.

the back of your certificate will, under the limitations section, say the quoted phrase. im assuming if its a type you received at a major airline in the past 10 yr then you are probably already PIC rated

Thanks for the reply. It is for a type that I already have on the Airbus. I initially got the type in 2018. Since I have not flown it in over 3 years I have to do the full course again. There is nothing on it that says the quoted phrase.

I would say you probably are then (99%, cant be positive without seeing your certificate but dont post it)
upgrade/requal is just a process for you to be current and qualified under your carrier’s certificate via their AQP. welcome back, must be tough getting back in the saddle with the firehose after a few yrs

Ask your training department how they want it answered. That’s the easiest way.

As long as your type rating doesn't say "subject to pilot in command limitations" or "SIC privileges only" on the back of your certificate, then you can answer YES to the question. You are PIC type rated, whether you flew as a Captain or FO at your previous company

the only reason you’d need to fill out iacra is if you did not have an unrestricted atp, were not previously typed or had the limitation on there and could now have it removed
