Been getting alot of mail from Dubuque lately and just started looking into them. Anyone current or former students? How do you like the program?

commercial avit degree from a crackerjack box............check out UND or look at going and getting a degree from a university in any area (meteorology or math for example) and do flight training at an FBO.

I'm a Junior at UD. Simply said, it costs a lot to go here...but it is worth it in my opinion. Their fleet has some of the most modern aircraft in it that I've seen. In addition to that, its not a pilot factory as is the case with most other aviation schools. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

And as far as UND, I havent met anyone in real life that recommends it. (this includes my roommate's brother who is going there right now, and two former UND students that have come here that I've talked to.)

I visited University of Dubuque last year and was pretty happy with the flight program. The town leaves a little to be desired. They have excellent aircraft, but so do alot of other schools. It's a bit expensive. UD has many advantages and disadvantages just like every other school. You need to find the best fit for you.

As far as UND goes, I know several people who absolutely loved that place and highly recommend it. The aviation program is very big, which may be a good thing or bad thing, depending on how you look at it.

Dubuque has been sending me things in the mail as well. From research It seems like a good school, but not quite my type of school. We'll see how it plays out in a years time..
