Dress code--

I ran a search...may not have done it right

...So I will ask it again.

Any do's and dont's on dress code. It's summer-time so I am sure shorts will be allowed. Any requirement for collared shirts..etc. Any suggestions??????

Trying to get packed for the next 90-days.

PS. I know about the following:

sheets and pillow case (twin bed)
sleeping bag...(optional)
blanket
towels
personal effects.

Shorts and Polo's or T-shirts are fine. The only restriction I can think of off hand (as it was told to me when I started the program) is that you can not wear open heeled sandals. Don't need you feet slipping off the pedals.

Also, as far as a recommendation for dress for the Checkrides... that is usually business casual or simply Khaki's and the ATP polo, whichever you prefer. This is not a requirement, although you do want to put your best foot foreward so to speak during a checkride.

The attire is very relaxed. You will be issued ATP polo shirts which go very well with shorts.

As far as shoes . . .

Picture yourself climbing out of a torn up airplane with shredded sheet metal and the possibility of fuel leaking or even fire. Now decide what kind of shoes you would want to be wearing. I would also suggest wearing shoes appropriate to the conditions you over fly. Imagine a 10 mile hike!

Don't just plan for uneventful flights.

Plan to survive.

During my cross countries in winter I had mountain survival attire in the plane. (with food and water).
I didn't need it;)
