Dramamine?

Dr. Forred,

I have a student who is about 4 weeks pregnant. Last weekend we went flying and she got air sick. Can she take dramamine and fly, or is that a downing drug? If not dramamine, can you suggest something else? She has a history of all-day "morning" sickness in the first trimester.

Thanks for your help!

Dramamine is DQ. There are no approved medications but she could try ginger from the natyral products section at the drug store. Maybe she is pregnant:laff:

I've heard those "pressure bands" worn on the wrists have worked wonders for some.

I never had "morning sickness" while pg or have a history of motion sickness at all, but I've heard from others that those bands were miracles for them.

The Relief Band works wonders. I had one that I would turn on during my IR training.....

Sea bands got me through my PPL while flying in Phienix during the summer. Also eating a piece of bread and a banana before flying helped too
