After one hour into my oral with her on my MEI ride, she looked over my logbook and refused to continue the checkride because my 250 mile commercial cross country was 249.2 miles from my "original" point of departure. I had flown to to another airport so that I could meet the 250 mile requirement but didnt catch the wording saying that it had to be from the "Original point of departure" (keep in mind I already had my commercial license at this point).
After going to AOPA, fltplan and airnav, we couldnt get any website to show at least 250 miles, so she canceled the checkride. I realize it was my mistake but I already had my commercial and met all the MEI requirements.
She didnt know if doing the 250 mile cross country again would help because I still got my commercial "illegally". She called the FSDO and they finally agreed that if I was to redo the cross country again she would let it slide.
My room mate busted his CFI with her after a 16 hour oral, his re-ride was still a 6 hour oral and a 3 hour flight.
She has more knowledge abut the FARS that anyone I know. It was incredible how knowledgeable she was!
