The problem with news channels compared to say a newspaper is the channels have a dull 24 hours of talking to shove into it, and really there isn't anywhere near that much news even on a national or global scale, you can tell from how much stuff gets repeated in a day. They are Desperate with a capital D to fill in that time with Something.
Really the best news channel was CNN headline news, it was essentially the newspaper version of cable news. It didn't try to fill in the entire time with stuff, it just looped. Now it has freaking Nancy grace so I don't even turn it on because I'm afraid she will be on.

Yeah, those do sound like interesting books. Eh, maybe I'll read them, one day, when I'm crossing the Atlantic and got nothing else to do up front.
