Wouldn't put it past one of our regulars.Anyone else here OG enough that your first thought was that some crazy person on JC might use this to try and get someone from Ethiopian fired?

I remember that story. That was a drama filled time around here.Oh it happened once before - I was just curious if any of our other old timers recalled it when they saw this post.
Oh, Velo….Anyone else here OG enough that your first thought was that some crazy person on JC might use this to try and get someone from Ethiopian fired?
They landed safely?Penetrate.
A few hours ago an Ethiopian Airlines flight landed in Hong Kong during the middle of a Super Typhoon. Does this qualify as a partial or full Lee Roy Jenkins?

If the gust spread on that was only 4kts I would fly a 172 in that. 35kts was my limit. If you wait for a calm wind day where I'm from, you won't fly very often.34031G42KT, FEW015 and -RA is nothing, that’s student solo weather.

Climb into. Dive away. Words to live by.A point I've always emphasized with students in light aircraft is don't ignore the weather after you land. Sure the crosswind component on approach might give you sweaty palms, but that isn't over when you clear the runway, as that crosswind component just turned 90 degrees and the ride isn't over.
Penetrate.

Only if they had chicken can they be considered a “full” Leroy Jenkins.
