Alaska was not required to divest any assets as a condition of DOJ clearance.

That's pretty nice. There were articles in the past hinting we'd have to give up 2-4 gates in SFO and LAX each.

Alaska did agree to implement limited changes to its codeshare agreement with American Airlines. The majority of Alaska and American codeshare flights will remain intact. The DOJ did not require changes to any other agreements between Alaska and American, including interline or reciprocal loyalty agreements, or any of Alaska's other airline partnerships.

If I'm reading this right, no change in the Delta and Alaska agreement?

Nothing in the DOJ agreement hints at Delta restrictions. So if there is anything related to AS and DL ties, it's unrelated to the approval process for the VX/AS merger.

It was in response to using my Alaska frequent flier number on the Delta flight. Seems like info you'd want your customer to know.

It makes absolutely no sense to me on how that relationship still exists. I get more Delta MQMs when I fly on Alaska ANC-SEA then I do if I flew on Delta. Then I fly on Korean which is a member of Skyteam and I get none.

It's going to be quite fun watching the SLI eventually have to go to an arbitrator (OMG shocker!) and then finally get done. Judging from the keyboard commandos on our fb group there's going to be massive string of heart attacks and strokes. Is it bad that I'm cheering for it?

Seriously?

AS's career expectation is to fly a 737 transon and to HI.

VX's career expectation is to fly an A320 transcon and to HI.

No difference. Pay rates, markets, fleets, size of pilot groups, upgrade times are not part of the equation.
