Doh, Headwind

not the best pics in the world, but it didn't matter what altitude we were at, the winds were 30kts faster than forcasted at all altitudes, and the farther west the flew the higher they got :(

We had 105 knot tailwind with a GS of 568 going PHX>COS last night. This morning going back to PHX it was a direct headwind of 120!

but you are flying higher than me! 4500ft 65kts, tapering down to 10kts at ground level (850ish) it was still 40+ at 2000msl
 
Flying backwards in a C152 or a Cub is amusing enough, I can't imagine it in a Cirrus. :yup: (Or whatever other Avidyne plane you are flying)
 
I bet coming back was fun, though.
this was back :( the wind picked up 30kts in the 1 hour we were on the ground. had a 35kt. tailwind on the way out. speed on the way out was around 180ish with a TAS around 150
