Does the military have any acceptions to color blindness?

I am color blind enough that I failed the test the first time I went in to get a medical. Since then I have received a Letter of Evidence from the FAA allowing me to get any class of medical without an restrictions due to color blindness. Does anybody know if there is any way the military would let me fly for them in this condition? Thanks in advance for your replies.

The Navy uses the Farnsworth lantern I think the other services use the Optec 900. These are alternate tests.

What exactly are those tests comprised of? I cannot pass the one with the dots that supposedly have numbers in them. To get the letter of evidence they showed me light gun signals from the tower and I had no problem with that.

On the Navy side, I have yet to see an exception to this rule
