A couple of my colleagues at work started as FA's then became FO's. There's no specific program, of sorts, but it's been done.

If there were I would be working as an FA at Delta right now instead of sitting in a prop making 19k a year

Well i can understand my oma and opa speaking to me in dutch. So i guess i'm 50% there. My speaking and writing on the other hand... not so much...

I can still manage a conversation in Dutch, a bit choppy by now I suspect. It has been a while, but I did live there for 5 years and my girlfriend's parents didn't speak a word of English.

In hindsight not learning Dutch, and not being able to communicate with them probably would not have been such a bad thing.
