Curtiss 55 Kingbird. 300 HP engines, and Eastern Air Transport was one of the main operators.
It took a lot of research to find that. I had to find a picture that matched the picture of the bird, which gave me the name. Then, it still took a while to find the actual airplane.Bingo. USMC was the other primary operator.
I never was a bird watcher...
