Do any regional have duty or trip rig guarantees?

Just wondering this as I am currently sitting in a hotel on day number three of a 5 hour sequence.:banghead:

Not quite sure what you are asking...but xjet has a 75 hour guarantee. I'm sitting on day two of a four day reserve turn myself.

A trip rig is when you are guaranteed a certain amount of pay based on how long you are on a trip. Say a 1:4 trip rig would mean that if you were gone for 80 hours during a trip that you would be guaranteed 80/4 = 20 hours of pay.

A duty rig is the same concept but applies to you duty day. say 1:2 guarantee means that on a 10 hour duty day you a going to at the very least get 10/2 = 5 hours of pay.

We're trying to get a min 4 hour day here in the new contract. I had a day on Sat where I DHed from MEM-TUL, and that was it. Since it was at 1/2 pay I got paid for a whopping 41 minutes.

The only thing we have is a 4 hour min day plus 1.5 time for working your day off. So that gives us a min of 6 hours pay for a day off. Other then that, nothing. Maybe in our next contract.

AWAC
2:1 duty rig
4:1 trip rig (soon to be 3.5:1 :D)

3:00 min day pay line holder
4:10 min day pay reserve
4:30 min day pay Long Call

Growth: -25% over the past 2 years
Job security: bleak
Management still complaining about costs: priceless

And if you pick up open time on your day off here, you're flying for straight flight pay.....unless you're a CA, then they pay you 150%. IMO, it should be that for ALL open time.

Jeez. You guys know that Colgan has a 3:45 daily guarantee, right?

For now......

If they don't get a union in, that could be on the chopping block, and there'd be nothing to stop management from doing it, either. Another reason we need to try to get all the Pinnacle and Colgan guys on one list.

We only get that if we are 'drafted.' We don't have day mins.

Oh snap. Sorry, I forgot about that. Now that I remember, in Jamestown on the short days, we worked a 8 hour day for 2:12. But we got around it by logging our 4 hour sit in PIT as ready reserve so it was always at least 4 hours for the 8 hour duty day or 6 hours for the 12 hour duty day. 100+ credit each month made JHW at least a little palatable.

SkyWest has a 3:45 minimum daily guarentee, and a 1:2 duty rig for SCHEDULED duty up to 12 hours, and 1:1 for SCHEDULED duty over 12 hours.

1:1 for SCHEDULED duty over 12 hours.

so how many trips do they schedule over 12 hours?

No real trip or duty rigs at XJT.
DPM is:
3.75 for trips on a day off
3.0 if it's a day on a trip with no scheduled flying
2.0 per day on a scheduled trip
15.0 min per 4 day
1.5x rate is only good when days are "red flagged" which has been pretty much every day this month.

Our trips are pretty good though, no highspeeds and I don't think I've really flown any where a 2:1 duty rig or a 4:1 time away from base would come into play.

It's rare but it happens. When it does I'm all over them, that's how I got three day trips that paid 22+ hours, and locals that paid 9.5 hours.

by local, you mean day trip right? How would you get 9.5 hrs out of a 2:1 duty rig?

I actually had a no##### 22:40 flight time 3 day on my line this month. Unfortunately, I couldn't fly it--would've been the most productive trip I've had.

I don't remember how it added up, it was a long time ago. I just remember that it credited something around 9-9.5 hours, was a day trip, and the first leg was a deadhead.
